2018 Sea Ray 260 Sundancer Price Enjoy every minute with the Sundancer 260. It has been designed to promote long, cozy days on the water with your loved ones, it is full of amenities and options to ensure comfort and convenience. A convertible v berth offers cosy Napping or overnighting, while a spacious cockpit with ample seating offers endless views of the horizon, the water line or the conversation at hand.
Throughout the sea Rays 260 sundancer are clues to good technique and design. From the extended swimming platform to the bow with the well-secured sunpad, the entire deck space is maximized to pack as much fun and lying as possible.
Access is either from the rear platform through a Portside gate or through the sides with non-centrifugal and integrated inboard steps. Both options have grabrails and in the cockpit the aisles are wide and grab handles and drink holders are plentiful.
Cockpit seating creates what sea ray calls the conversation area of lounges in a circle with space for nine or ten people when the helmet seat is turned upside down. A teak table is stored under the rear lounge and has two aluminum poles that allow it to be lunched or brought down to make a wide sunlounge with extra pillows. There is also a special memory for all pillows and supports.
In addition to the forward position, the back part of the lounge turns into a sunpad or flips to form a rear seat when the boat is at rest, making the bathing platform even more pleasant. Together with the twin helmet seat, the chaise lounge to Port allows two other passengers to interact with the skipper in progress.
On the ground floor there is a neatly laid out cabin with a chic, prestigious kirschinterieur. Against the dark wood are cream walls and blanket, and pillow fabric a lush beige. Thick sea carpet is sensitively protected by clip-off Sunbrella material to keep the inside intact.
The Vee berth in the bow has a long table to eat and also turns into a large bed, so that with the center-cabin-double under the cockpit-sole options are available when you leave for a couple the dinette in place or divides the room, albeit with Limited privacy.
The chef gets an electro-/Alkohol-einbrenner-Koch top and a sink with fresh hot water in a granite Korian Benchtop. A 22LT microwave works from Shorepower or via an onboard inverter and there is also a dual-power dometic fridge freezer.
Opposite the galley there is a closed head with a vacuum toilet, a hand shower and a corian vanity. The room has good ventilation and the teak flooring is a nice nautical touch. On a boat of this size you should not expect anything too spacious, so that the shower is a sitting operation, because the head room is not overgenerous. Luckily there is a Transom shower, which should be enjoyed as an alternative.
With moderate headwinds, the tabs kept the boat on a steady keel, and on the plane the tabs came into effect for the best forward and return journey and the most economical fuel consumption. It is a good addition to this style of the high-riding sport boat and while it seemed to work well, the tabs can be returned on the touch of the control pad if you do not agree on how they work.
The 300PS-5.7-LT-V8 Mercruiser 350 MPI has throttled a lot and had the efficiently shaped hull planting at impressive 10kts – undoubtedly supported by the superior drive of large, counter-rotating props. It felt rock resistant cruising at 24kts and around 3750u/min cutting over the chop and wake from other boats. The weight of the Sea ray of 3500kg helps him to belt through waves, and every larger alarm clock is taken in his stride, without unnecessary anxiety or any of the faucets rattle loose.
I saw 34.2 kts at 5000u/min, maybe a bit below what I expected, but not bad with a full load of fuel and a new engine – and plenty fast enough for a bang around your local waterway to a quiet anchorage for the day , or maybe a night or two on the water. The handling is sporty and precise at higher speeds. In sharp, low speeds under the power, he leans over and pushes water from his big shoulders, but does not dig his nose for nasty surprises.
